Need To Read About Helena MT
WE were on a camping trip from Viking AB to Dinseyland CA and my 2003 dodge diesel truck started to make a knocking noise just outside of helena mt.we parked in the walmart parking lot on till monday when LITHIA dodge dealer open and they could take a look at it.They looked at first thing and told me that i scored 5-6 cylinder that 5-6 injectors failed that i need a new short block put in .So i asked how long they said it would be a week or so because the new moter had to come from San Fancisco Ca. So here my trailer is sitting in the walmart parking lot with know truck to pull it because it riped apart at the dodge deal.I have to move my trailer because my wife and i decided to rent a mini van and keep going .So i went to D&D RV Center and talk to Mark Rispens the manger told him what happen, he sent one the guys over to walmart parking lot and picked up my FW and put it in a locked compound.I asked what i owe him he said a hand shake and a thank you.to top it of the when my truck was done the dodge dealer took my truck over to my trailer .so after we got back everythink was sittig togeather. I was realy overwhelmed on how i was tread in Helena Mt you could of asked for better service or help from these to place D&D RV Center and LITHIA dodge of Helena

.it started to get loader when you rev the engine up .I do use howes injecter cleaner on every fill up. Is posible that i got it hot climbing the mountain north of Helena. I am camping my way to disney land . I am pulling a 29 foot FW

I Need Help??
HI guy i am in helena MT and my 2003 dodge cummings diesel started to knock after my last clime the climb was only 4685ft on I15 north of helena mt. all guage read norm the oils is full the antfriz is good,there no oil or fuel on the ground there no smoke comming out of the breather on the bottom of engine. there no lost of power and no smoke coming from the exgust. but the knock sounds like it is comming from the pan. my last fuel stop was greatfalls mt at the flying j. i am only into PLEASE HELP ME PS there only 75000km (42000 miles) on the truck

Off to Vega & Disney Land
Time has come to get ready to hook up and go. My wife has to work most of the day .The kids and I will do the final touch on the FW.at 4pm or so off we go .I think the trip will be fun I now it going to be hot but that what AC for.The sad think on this trip my jack russel(ZOE) has to stay home it just not fair for her to sit and be lock up in a trailer plus it to hot for her.she going to the sisterinlaw place there a yard for her to burn around in .Where is the best place to buy fuel on the I-15 are first stop is Great Fall,Ma the kids want to go to the water slides

if your like dry camping a lot you should invest in a solar panal does have to be a big one .that what i have do on my last three fw my new one has 80w solar 4 rv29 and 1750 inverter.i wire my inverter with a switch box just like like a gen set so when i dry camp all my 110 plugs work in my trailer when i turn the inverter on. yes it is true a battery charge will charge your battery faster then the converter on your trailer.the converter only charge at 2-3 amp and battery charger is 5-10 amp.i mite be wrong on the amp but i know that a battery charger charges faster
dry camp 80%
full hook ups 20%
the nice camp sites are the dry camp sites in the trees
no switch is need run them as one

hi in Alberta i tow double most of the time. i tow my 16ft boat that has a 60hp moter on it.i have been doing this for about 12 years and for me that the only way to go .but there is different rules for different states and province.my boat towes straight as a arrow if the road is rough i just slow down.but on the open highways i drive about 107km(65mph).i have hered of some people us a light eguazier hitch i have not found a cheap one yet but i think i am going to give it a try .i have been told that it kept the boat trailer from jumping around on the rougher roads.

pull your switch apart and swap the wire open close and close is open and see if it still does it.if it dont there must be a relay shot or the moter stop is not working

I would check the wiring to my brakes ,any cuts or cracks on the insde of the tires , if that there nothing hanging or loseand lub your slide roller with a teflan lub.just touch and grab every thing and make sure it where it should be

I would buy new. just the thought of sleeping in used bed dont thrill me.the smell of a new fw is worth the extra money.plus you can customs it to your likings.and full warrenty

they say the air bore is good but I love my Mor-Ryde. no more slap and no more klucking.it is the best bang for your buck.i hardly know my fw behind me.i will nervier go back to a stander pin box

for a 100 bucks for all four done just put new bearing and seal in and good to go. for bearings and seal should be around 30-40 bucks a wheel. just dependes on how big your axles are

my temp gauge is a auto meter that is custom to fit where my cig lighter was and down on the tran it is in the port on the back top passenger side of the tran that where a tran shop told me to put it the best place is tap in the bottom of the pan

I have the same TV my tran gauge us to get to 210+ when pulling loaded that trailer and boat. do you got lot of air move ment on your truck.I had a chrome cloudride tran cover in the honeycomb style .I took it out and my tran and truck had drop in temp.it know runs at 190-200.I all so did a tran flush and put 100% syn oil in it.for a diesel you need lots of air movement for them to run cooler and better.this is a good thing to do take a garden hose and wash all your rads out your air will work better and your truck will run cooler.sorry made a mistake i have 47re tranny

there is no draw back I have been doing it in Alberta for about 15 years it is just great .the fw ,boat .what is your length limit are is 66 feet my total rig is 65'8". short box dodge diesel,29 foot citation FW, 16 foot pro v fishing boat with a 60hp motor. life is great camping and fishing every weekend this summer
